Description

Les barazek sont une spécialité typiquement syrienne originaire de la ville de Damas. Ce sont de succulents biscuits raffinés aux éclats de pistaches généreusement recouverts de sésames dorés.  Avec les fameux graybeh (sablés fondants) et maamoul (sablés garnis de pistaches, dattes ou noix), ils constituent ce qu'on appelle en Syrie les "nawachefs" ou biscuits secs à l'inverse des autres célèbres patissieries orientales telles la baklawah, kunafah, mabroumah, katayef, etc.. qui nécessitent d'être imbibées de sirop. 

A l'heure du thé ou du café, les barazek font toute la différence. Ils constituent aussi un délicieux cadeau en toute occasion.
